The freaking official picture with us holding the birds costs 30 bucks or something like that!!! WTH! Good thing we got our own cam.

On National Day, Siew Kee & I got this SMS from the Singapore Tourism Board which entitled the first 2009 visitors to enter the Jurong Birdpark and Night Safari FOC. So, despite it being a public holiday, Kee and I dragged ourselves out of bed early in the morning to go do some bird watching and act touristy. There were so many other people heading there! Good thing by the time we got there, the free tix were still available. About 700 ppl more to go. We have plenty of pics of birds now. Seriously. Our cameras combined…. about 400 shots. Siao.

Halfway through out visit, we were stalked by some overly friendly, creepy Indian guy at Parrot Paradise… keep following us around. He asked where we worked, we just told him we were students… he told us he stayed in City Hall (sure annot???!! City Hall is in town leh! I’ve never even heard of anyone staying in City Hall!) Kee and I refused to give away any info about ourselves after that. Just ‘ohs’ and ‘I sees’ when he told us stuff. Lesson to remember… never give real info about yourselves to strangers… especially creepy ones like this one. At first we thought he was just being friendly when we were looking at the parrot claws and touching it… but when we move to the next cage, he followed…. and the next and the next and the next!!! Stand so near summore! WTH! We kept moving away and ’siam-ing’ from him. Kee and I just walked out of Parrot Paradise and he started following oso! Freaky or what! Thank goodness the park was crowded and we walked off really really fast trying to shake him off. Stupid idiot!

Since graduation, Theresia and I have been meeting alot more often for random ‘girly’ outings coz we stay pretty near each other. A week before graduation, we went for a manicure, eyebrow trim and haircut.

Today…. I was bored… no… Theresia was bored… oh well… same lah… we BOTH were bored.

So…. we went to Bugis to jalan-jalan. This time we went looking at clothes, shoes (though I didn’t DARE take second looks at shoes coz I already have tonnes and my shoe rack has overflowed…. ), bags, accessories and testing perfume and makeup. (I told you it was girly stuff!) Sigh…. I simply love the Paul Smith Rose perfume…. the Summer Edition is nice too! I want!!!!!! Arghhh… Cannot buy. Control. Geram.

I bought a nail polish set from e.l.f. at Sasa so that I can give myself DIY french manicures in the future… no need to waste money at the nail salon… and I found the cutest ever PJs!!!!!!!!! Mine!

Anyway, on a random note, Kee and I have been stuck… and I mean really really REALLY glued to this Taiwanese idol drama, Fated to Love You (Ming Zhong Zhu Ding Wo Ai Ni). Really addicted! Watch non stop! See where I learn my Chinese from? Haha… I can hear Kee laughing all the way from my room… When the sad parts come, I see her eyes red red and teary… hehehe… Anyway, we’re both stuck to one of the theme songs, Sticky Note Wish (Xin Yuan Bian Li Tie). A problem I’ve been facing these few weeks but never got down to fixing it till now… My Windows Explorer has been hanging on me each time I try to right click a file/folder or when I try to copy and paste stuff… did some Googling and this is what appeared in the results…

“looks like it was SnagIt shell extension causing my issues. I disabled it’s context menu component using ShellExView. Now I’m right clicking and copy/cut/pasting like usual.”
