Simply just too “eng”

Eng? (means ‘free’ in hokkien) Hmmmm… not really. Don’t think you wanna know how many of my assignments are going to due next week. So where’s my land of Oz? Revamping blogs. I find it therapeutic to come up with new layouts and designs for my blog when I’m stressed. This time, I didn’t revamp my own…. coz I still like the current look. Haven’t got sick of it yet. Give me another half a year or so… So, since I sort of promised my Mumzie a new blog look (…a rosy romantic look.. coz she doesn’t like the yellow parts), I decided to work on it.

I actually already designed it in Photoshop last hols. Nothing drastic. Just had to translate all that in to html and css code. Sometimes I still wonder how I managed to learn html on my own. (while I find Java which was taught step by step in school such a pain!) I guess interest in something can move little mountains like this. I wish I could do stuff like that for a living…. but I know I won’t make a fortune out of that… I wanna earn tonnes of money! Anyway, I also put in little additions such as a cursive sign off and a little rose posy post divider.

Anyway… here’s the before:

This is the tamest picture I could find of Yoshiki. He looks pretty ghostly in most others.

I just love going for my Music & Acoustics class. Aside from being a relaxed and laid back module I’m taking this sem, I have been introduced to some new musicians who are worth listening to. Today my classmate brought a DVD of an X Japan member, Yoshiki’s, classical concert. Pretty cool I must say. It’s the first time I’m hearing that the DRUMMER is the band leader and composer behind most of the songs. The surprise doesn’t just end there… coming from a jrock band (who’s members dress atrociously!), Yoshiki also composes classical numbers. This video here is a piece called Anniversary from the album Eternal Melody II. Check him out.

I’ve also managed to stumble upon original piano scores of some of their pieces. If you’re interested, leave me a comment. :)

Saturday October 11thFeelings, School Category •

THANK GOD IT’S FRIDAY!….. no… the END of Friday… eh… wait… technically, it’s Saturday already.

It’s been a very long day for me. School from 11.30pm till 4.30pm… then my Music & Acoustics group meeting which started at 11pm… Can you believe it? 11pm at JP McDonalds? *faint* Anyway, thank goodness this time it was more productive…. and I’m thanking my lucky stars that Joshua drives. He’s been so nice to drive us home after class every week and after our group meetings. So funny, just now he dropped me off at the side gate… then later I got a msg apologizing for not sending me all the way in coz he was blur blur edi at that time… not thinking straight. Haha… Side gate’s fine with me. I only asked him to send me in the last time coz I had tonnes of stuff to carry mah…

Tml…. I’M FREE!!!!! Well… not exactly (coz I do have some work to do), but I don’t have to go anywhere. I can sleep in and stay at home and stone the whole day long. Glorious. I’m so drained after this week. I need a break.

Deb’s first facial… :)

So tired right now. I hardly slept last night… All because of a stupid Advanced Algorithms quiz I had this morning. Year 4 is really eating into my sleep time. My skin is all flaky… not to mention infested with pimples… I just went for a facial with Kee last Sunday. Half price for the first time. Soooooooooooooooooo relaxing. Should go for one with Mumzie sometime back home. Soooooooooooooooooo shuang.

Before anything else, I was told to pop my head into this thing, with uv light and a mirror. There she analyzed my face and told me about this patch and that patch. I looked really grossly ghostly in there. All purple… and dark patches all over my face!! Freaking ugly. Then she asked made me go through a quiestionaire with a million and one questions. Supposedly to determine my skin type. According to her, I have sensitive (and really thin… coz the blood capillaries can all be seen under my cheeks) and dry skin (coz my forehead is so oily it can almost function as a mirror).

Anyway, once that was done the lady started off by cleansing my face with some cleansing milk. It was nice smelling and non soapy. No need to wash face… just wipe off. Then followed by the cooling mist for like 5 mins. Then some dunno what paste to soften my blackheads. Ugh… Then came the PAINFUL part. I was pretty horrified when she started picking out my blackheads. OUCH!!!! PAINFUL!!! Especially those on my forehead. Thank goodness she stopped when some couldn’t come out. I don’t want those marks to stay on my face for the next few months! NOT why I went for a facial. Anyway, after that “incident“, I’m pretty paranoid about these things.

I was given a cooling mask to soothe the redness of my face after that painful ordeal. Even after that, it was still pretty red, so she zapped my face with something. Dun ask me what it was… next thing I knew, there was this net on my face and *zap zap zap*… Another mask, and then finally some hydrating fluid and a nice shoulder and neck massage. :):):):) Syiok only.

After the facial ended, the lady tried to convince us so buy a package of 5 facial treatments and 2 products worth $288… whoa… peng… Nonononono… don’t think I’ll be going for another facial anytime soon. I just did it this time to clear up my face abit. (Though I was forewarned that I might breakout coz it’s my first facial…. :’(… just wait for the millions of zits to infest this coming week.)
