Yeah… another outing… this time it was supposed to be with my Music & Acoustics groupmates. Xinyi bailed on us last minute coz she was having a sore throat. Couldn’t change it either coz Joshua was scheduled for his operation the following morning. So, yeah…. Joshua came to pick me up after work and we headed Timbre at Clarke Quay…only to find that it was closed on Sundays! Grrr…. ok… so fine… we went bowling at Marina Square instead. This is the first time I’ve ever gone bowling in Singapore. After bowling… we left Marina and went to Cineleisure for a midnight movie. Got tix for the movie Quarantine…. a remake of the Spanish movie REC. While waiting for the movie to start, we went for a drink at a nearby food center.
I must say, at first I thought that Quarantine was some sort of ghost movie… but turns out…. it’s a thriller. A bunch of people quarantined in a building because some were infected by this infectious disease which turns them into vicious killers. Supposedly something like rabies. So, the story evolves around their attempts to stay alive and away from the infected ones. It was pretty violent. Well… spoiler notice…
Everyone eventually gets bitten and infected, including the reporter. It was quite a short movie really.
Joshua still hadn’t had enough and so we headed back to my place to play Wii… DOTS……… Played until Joshua fell asleep on the couch and Rhesa had no choice but to stay over too as his driver was fast a sleep. Haha. The most amazing part was, Joshua overslept and missed his operation! He was supposed to go for some brain operation to remove the clot he got during his recent car accident. OMG. That cost him another few hundred bucks (or rather his insurance… ) to reshedule another operation the next day.
All in all we had fun playing. It’s not everyday we have a driver to drive us around town to play the entire night. LOL. We’re planning another outing soon in January. Let’s see if it turns out.
