While I’m still in mooncake mode, lemme take this opportunity to gloat… hahahaha… I made mooncakes about a week ago. Never mind the part that I cheated a little. Rachel’s mom was coming for a visit and she heard I wanted to learn how to make mooncakes. So, she brought all her stuff, ingredients and machine and all (yes… FROM KL!) here to teach me. 
I thought she was going to teach me the whole thing. As in, the filling and all from scratch. Exciting, huh? Hahah… but to my slight disappointment, she brought the ready made lotus paste filling. I just learnt how to make the skin and stuff in the thing into the mould this time round. Not bad for starters actually. Maybe I’ll leave the filling to another time to experiment myself.
Since I was apprenticing the “shifu”, I didn’t really have time to take pics of the mooncakes in the making, but here are some showing the final product.

Trust me, it’s edible. Really! I finished them all mind you… but over a week la… Die le… fat liao. Must start to gym every day!
