The 3rd part to the very long day.

Before the Night Festival, I actually went for another concert – Junichi Matsumoto, a professional electone player – with Sam and his friend. It was quite nice to watch. Not really what I expected to hear though. I went for the concert expecting to hear one whole lot of classical music but it ended up to be quite different. Junichi played alot of a kind of genre that seemed to sound like electronic music to me. For one of the songs, I was actually imagining a video game, something like mario or maple story. Lol. Some amazing sounds came out from that Stagea. At first I thought the sounds were sampled, but Sam told me that the Stagea doesn’t support that. So…. I guess it pretty much leaves that to tweaking the sound and effects manually using some sort of mixer on board? I dunno. Never looked closely at one before. Maybe someday if i get a chance to touch one. It’s one mighty expensive instrument there.

We also had a mini surprise during the 15 min intermission. Fireworks! They actually raised the backdrop to allow us to watch the fireworks. How cool is that! To bad it was only a few bursts at one go. I really wanna go watch the fireworks on national day. Prolly pop over to Marina area or something. I insisted on going on a picnic before. So, picnic it shall be if I can manage to drag along a bunch of ppl.

So, at the end of the concert, some nice… and some not so nice things happened. I don’t think I wanna talk about the not so nice things. 10 years from now, when I read this post again, I don’t really want to be reminded about that embarrassing moment. So, the nice…. Sam and I lined up to get Junichi’s autograph and took a photo with him! Wheee!!!!! But he hasn’t sent me the photo, so I can’t post it yet. Later. It’s blurry I heard. I wish wish wish wish wish I had a nice cam. Something that would take amazing pics in low lighting. My camera sucks…. his camera sucks. One more year…. TAHAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Autograph Session

Was dilly dallying around that area as Sam and Mei Shi was chatting with their circle of friends. What was I doing? Hmmmm… just standing around. I don’t really know those ppl so, whatever. Sam’s friend didn’t seem very chatty. I tried talking to her but all I got from her was short answers. Ok… maybe she was tired…. or it’s just me, a big mouth. Oops…
