Just in case you haven’t noticed, I’ve added some extra stuff to my blog with the help of some amazing plugins here. I’ve updated the list since the it was first posted.
Firstly, I’ve added the choice for readers to increase or decrease the font size of my posts to their liking. Makes it more readable for people who don’t wanna squint to read my long posts and those people who prefer to have the entire post within their screen (but you probably have to have super vision for that).
Now… how to use it.
You see this on the sidebar?
Well, all you have to do is click on the T+ and T- to increase and decrease the font size respectively.
Click on the flag to translate to your language.To revert to the original language (ie. English), click on the US flag.
Next, I’ve added a stats page for kaypoh ppl. Hahahahaha… Now… If you’re wondering how I did this, I used 2 plugins for this. First of all you need to use SlimStat Ex to track you stats. You will also nee the Exec-PHP plugin to execute PHP on your pages or posts. Wordpress doesn’t automatically allow this.
Also, just check out my pretty Recent Posts and Recent Comments on my sidebar! They have post thumbnails and avatars now! For the Recent Comments, it came Gravatar supported. So, I didn’t need to put in much work there. The Recent Posts thumbnails are generated using custom fields in each post. I just created a custom field named “post_thumb” and added a small bit of code before the recent post list and voila!
Lastly, I’ve edited my entire theme and posts to make it valid XHTML Transitional 1.0 and CSS Level 2.1. Don’t believe me? Check yourself! Haha…
