Dear Father God,
I sinned today.
I bought a bottle of expensive perfume for my own pleasure and vanity. I spent $50.00 on an Estee Lauder Pleasures Artist Edition at a warehouse sale specially for airport staff at Changi Aiport. Oh so pretty… The whimsical motif on the bottle was designed by this renowned textile designer, Kazumi Yoshida. But above all else, most importantly of all, Pleasures is a sheer and airy spring floral with notes of white and black lilies, violet leaves, white poppies, pink roses, karo karounde blossoms, Baie Rose, patchouli and sandalwood. The breezy fragrance settles into a surprisingly deep and comforting drydown.
What’s not to love? A light floral fragrance is totally me. I was eying Ralph Lauren’s Romance for so long… but You know it would cost me an arm and a leg. God, you understand me best, so you should know.
Please forgive my overpowering desire for pretty things. If I bought Mumzie a YSL’s Rouge Pure Shine in Pink Sorbet would You write this off? Thank you a million gazillion times.
Amen.
