Today was a good day. Why? Coz we hardly did any work at all! The Annual Airport Reception was held today at Terminal 3, Check-In Row 1. We interns and our sups were deployed as part time airport guides… :p Haha… joking… but we were supposed to usher the guests. Before going off to do our ushering job, we were being vain in the office. Limei as the chief hairstyler… hahaha… She was french braiding SC and Kim’s hair and gave me and Lydia a twist. Lol… can open shop edi! Anyway, I was stationed at Terminal 3 Departure Hall, just outside Wang’s Cafe. Honestly speaking, I really guided more passengers rather than directing the guests to Check-In Row 1. Thank goodness I could answer all their questions! If not, it would be sooooo embarrassing. Anyway… we were only there for an hour. After that, we went on to join the reception. Just in time for the award ceremony and then FOOD!!!!!!!!!! Here’s a sneak peak of what we had:
Looks good? Well, there was more… sushi, satay, chicken rice, mee goreng, etc… I must say though, that the satay was horrible. Alot of it was not cooked properly and the meat was still rather raw. Yucks! I tried the oyster with Tabasco sauce and ewwwwww… slimey and gross! I can totally imagine Mr Bean’s feelings when he was served with the fresh oysters in the Mr Bean’s Holiday movie.
After our so called fiesta… we just hung around to take pics.
Then… when everything was over, we were told that we could take the flowers that surrounded the stage. So, there was the mad rush for the prettiest roses and sunflowers! I took some roses myself but decided to do without the sunflowers. Never really my preference when it comes to flowers.
We really didn’t do much work after the event ended. We were still kind of hungry after eating only the finger food and sushi, so we went for second round at Auntie Annes. Ezza treated some of us to Subway cookies while some others had Auntie Anne’s pretzels. We just sat there and slacked for quite a bit of time. Back in the office, since everyone was obsessed with their flowers, Lydia and I shamelessly brought our flowers to her florist friend downstairs to ask her to help us arrange them in a nice bouquet.
