haven’t been out of da hall for more than 2 weeks…. can i believe wat a hermit i’m becoming?? anyway… i finally went out today to go watch sam’s competition at yamaha clementi… yamaha electone festival heats… all i can say is WOW! watching the people play is so totally different fr just listening to da music… a few days back sam sent me the recording of his competition piece, Another Century, and ask me to comment on it… my honest first impression: not very very fantastic… but good… made me jump once or twice due to da sudden crescendos in da piece…. other than dat, i wasn’t overwhelmingly impressed or anything… i guess i’m too immuned to good pieces after listening to so many great mp3s on my iTunes library… hahaha…. but oh my… actually watching them play is a totally different story… u really should watch da ppl playing those electone pieces live! they literally play a whole orchestra on their own!!!!! *SHOCK!!*… i’ve never really seen how much u can do with da electone…. watching da competition was a good short diversion fr my studies although 15 pieces (or was it 14?? i forgot… hehe) of approx 5 minutes each all at one shot was a lil overwhelming for me, coz i was actually a lil sleepy on dat day…. so da moment it ended, i decided to go off… din bother to wait for da announcements of da results… anyway… da good news is, sam msg me later and told me he made it to da finals! way to go man! haha… ah well…. he deserves it… he’s disgustingly talented…. (i’m kidding! but seriously… can i like steal his fingers? hahahaha…. =p)

yup yup…i know… my blog has sum issues wif IE.. usually i use firefox… i’ve been wanting to change my blog layout for awhile anyway… hehe… now dat exams are over, i got all da time in da world to do it… hahahahahahahaha!

It’s cool to see that somebody still recognizes the effort that goes into playing Electone. I just wish people in the USA respected Electone that much!
