penang trip - 12 dec 2005
juz came back home for a week…. a sudden impulse to join aunty koay, jui jien, jui shan, jian, emily, evelyn and my sis to go for a day trip shopping in penang….along the penang bridge i saw sumthing quite interesting… haha… look closely at the picture…
hee… aunty koay was supposed to go fetch su-yen fr Universiti Sains Malaysia…. yup… did a mini tour round dat uni…. hmmm.. not bad… haha… looks quite nice…. also on a hill just like NTU… only thing is…. her hostel is like so awfully far fr the main campus…. it’s actually juz across da road… but try walking… i think i’ll die! ok… i’m spoilt…. my lecture theatres in NTU are juz a few meters away fr my hall and i still take the shuttle bus….am i lazy or wat??? haih… i think i should walk more often… me-lazy-pig should wake up earlier to walk to class… exercise abit…. getting fat liao…
anyway….. after dat we went to gurney plaza for SHOPPING!!!!!!!!! wakakakakkaa…..had lunch first at this hong kong restaurant call Kim Gary… never ever eat da ramen there…. never…. EVER!….. yucks… heard the baked rice was quite good though…. wat in da world am i doing eating japanese ramen in a hong kong restaurant?? i siao or wat? after lunch, i , emily and evelyn went shopping together…. (we split directions wif da others coz i dun think we all have da same interests for stuff…haha…).. ya.. HOT Market there is alot nicer than da one in alor star…. alot nicer… got emily her christmas prezzie there…. i din really buy much…. just a abercrombie and fitch t-shirt fr F.O.S….are u amazed?? saw so many things nice da i wanted to buy but dunno why i feel so guilty to spend off all my money… hahaha…. oh dear… where has my impulsive nature gone?? die la… signs of getting old… haih….
ipoh trip - 15-20 dec 2005
back in ipoh once again… just can’t wait to sink my teeth in a bowl of ipoh’s famous taugeh chicken noodles…well… first nite is as usual…. wah chai… rice… big fish….toufu…. kuai tau miu…. and my fav drink there - sea coconut…. (cheat me wan… only a few miserable thin slices)…. kau fu and family came back da next day wif his SAAB club frens… fuyooo… all da saab cars…. so many of them…. we literally booked 6 tables in assam house… oooo… great food… haha…. pandan chicken… curry fish head….pork… assam prawns…paku choi…..FIESTA!..
hahah…. wah every day in ipoh was a feast… haha… we tried this new place called chuk lam….(got allot of bamboo trees aroud da restaurant… another feast…. crab…. wine chicken….veggie….oooooo…. and another thing… haha… most ppl got grossed out when they heard wat it was…fallopian tube… hahahahahahhahaha…in canto we call it “sang cheong”… sounds gross hor?? but it’s not any more different than intestines….in fact it’s nicer than intestines… i hate powdery soft squishy intestines… sang cheong is crunchy… hahaha….. my cousins were grossed out when they found out we were going to eat fallopian tube so they went to eat beef ball noodles instead…. (i decided to go for my share of beef ball noodles another day…) next day…. we went all da way to tanjung tualang for seafood! …… huge 180 bucks fish!!!… lots of tiger prawns…. whoa…. humongous prawns!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! cooked 2 different styles…. one steamed wif i dunno wat…. sumthing resembling egg and toufu….. and da other butter prawns…. ooooo… dat’s da best best best… hahaha…. very fresh very fresh….
well this ipoh trip was basically all about feasting and shopping…. food and clothes… haha…. yes i bought alot of clothes…. oops… hee…. i think i should be banned fr clothes shops for at least da next 2 to 3 months…. *torture~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*
oh! i forgot! we also popped by the Lost World Of Tambun…. a water theme park built by Sunway… haha…. lazy river for lazy ppl… hee…. den my cousins, my sis and me went to hit the slides… haha…. the dark tunnel was most fun…. hee….
my grandma had a fun time in da lazy river wif mum…. she doesn’t get to do these kind of things much when we’re not around…
